REPORT: 2018 Budget To Focus On Domestic Investment, Rakyat's Wellbeing & Inclusivity

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The 2018 Budget will focus on stimulating domestic investment while simultaneously focusing on developing the future generation, enhancing the wellbeing of the rakyat and ensuring inclusivity, the Ministry of Finance said.

   

REPORT: Malaysia 2017 Real GDP To Strengthen Further Between 5.2 And 5.7 Pct

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian real gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to strengthen further between 5.2 per cent and 5.7 per cent this year, surpassing the earlier estimate of above 4.8 per cent, underpinned by strong domestic demand and improved external sector.

   

REPORT: Gross Funds Raised From Capital Market Up 21.4 Pct To RM134.6 Billion From Jan-July 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- Fund raising activity in the capital market expanded significantly from January to July 2017, following stronger-than-expected issuances, with gross funds raised soaring 21.4 per cent to RM134.6 billion from RM110.9 billion in the same period last year.

   

REPORT: Global Economy To Grow At 3.7 Pct In 2018

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The global economy is projected to have a healthy growth of 3.7 per cent next year from 3.6 per cent in 2017, driven by sustained growth in advanced economies, as well as, emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs).

   

REPORT: Government Expenditure To Increase To RM265.9 Billion In 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- Federal government expenditure in 2017 is expected to increase 5.4 per cent to RM265.9 billion, but its share to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), is estimated to decline to 19.8 per cent, said the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

   

REPORT: Construction Sector To Expand 7.5 Pct In 2018

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The construction sector is expected to expand by 7.5 per cent next year compared with the estimated 7.6 per cent growth in 2017, said the Ministry of Finance in its 2017/2018 Economic Report released today.

   

REPORT: Value-Added Of Mining Sector Expands At Moderate Pace

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The value-added of Malaysia's mining sector expanded at a moderate pace of 0.9 per cent compared to 0.4 per cent last year, said the Economic Report 2017/2018 released by Ministry of Finance today.

   

REPORT: Global Economic Growth To Remain Favourable Till Next Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The outlook for global economic performance is expected to remain favourable in 2017 and 2018 with growth emanating from advanced and emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs).
